The iDermpath application, developed for clients of Fleming Dermatopathology, offers convenient and immediate access to digital pathology reports via wireless connectivity. The system notifies users of new reports through an audible alert delivered via the Apple Push Notification Service, ensuring prompt awareness. In addition to real-time updates, previous reports remain accessible within the platform, facilitating comprehensive review of patient history.

Pathology slips can be generated through multiple input methods, including virtual keyboard, camera, and microphone. The most efficient and entirely paperless approach involves capturing a photograph of the patient's face sheet and dictating relevant information such as biopsy site details. Clinical photographs can also be seamlessly integrated into the slip, supporting clinicopathologic correlation efforts.

All photos and audio recordings remain linked to their respective cases and are retrievable via the laboratory’s website, ensuring continuity and ease of review. The application adheres to strict security protocols, maintaining HIPAA compliance to safeguard patient confidentiality. Additionally, iDermpath features a demo mode, allowing potential users to explore the platform's functionalities before establishing an official client relationship with the laboratory.
